Join Us At the OHP Eventing Prix Invitational March 7th & 8th!!

Ocala Horse Properties is a huge supporter of the sport of Eventing, and the community of Ocala continues to see more event riders migrate to the Horse Capital of the World each winter season.

Historically, eventing has lagged behind the discipline of show jumping in terms of awarding prize money, but in the passed few years key influencers in the sport have attracted more sponsors to host these type of events.

Our sister company Wellington Equestrian Realty recently partnered with Mark Bellissimo, Jim Wolf and Equestrian Sports Productions at the Wellington Eventing Showcase, and that event was a raging success. This next week, Ocala Horse Properties has eagerly stepped up as the title sponsor for the Ocala Horse Properties Eventing Prix Invitational, which will be held at Scott Keach’s Southern Cross Equestrian in Ocala.

This show jumping format has an impressive entry list of 28 riders, who will be bringing several horses for the initial schooling day on Monday March 7th. The schooling day will give riders the opportunity to get several of their horses in the ring before making the decision as to which horse to compete for the Eventing Prix the following day. Riders will use this as a final prep for Red Hills the following weekend and the US and Canadian team coaches will also taking this opportunity to interact and observe members of their respective Olympic training lists.

This is going to be an exciting event with top international riders representing multiple countries.

Admission to the event is open and free to the public and our friends at Edge Brewing Barcelona will be serving up their award winning beer to quench your thirst. Put this on your calendar and stay tuned for more announcements about the final list of riders and total prize money coming later this week!
