Liz and Deniro Z are on a roll, and the team at Ocala Horse Properties couldn’t be prouder of this talented pair.

It was a thrilling grand finale to the eventing season in Ocala, with Liz Halliday-Sharp and Deniro Z claiming another wire to wire win in the 2* division at the Ocala International 3 Day Event.

Rob and Chris Desino spent the weekend watching their new horse impress the dressage judges and hold his lead with a stellar performance over the stadium and cross country courses. Leading up to this event, “Z” has demonstrated his talent for the upper levels with an exceptional competition record, landing him firmly at the front of the USEA Intermediate leaderboard!

Needless to say, Liz is over the moon with his performance and her team’s support during their journey to the top of the leaderboard.

“I’m so overwhelmed with how totally amazing Deniro Z is… he has just WON his first CCI2* and it’s his 5th FEI win in just a year! This horse is just incredible and I feel so lucky to be his jockey! It was such a pleasure to have his new owners Rob and Chris Desino who were here to watch him, along with many other great friends and lots of family. A huge thank you to super groom Gemma Kate for making him look SO incredible and to my whole team, top trainers, owners, sponsors, vets and farriers for their support – we literally could not do any of this without you all!!”

Liz will now turn her sights on the Rolex Kentucky 3 Day Event, where she will be competing Fernhill By Night (aka Blackie) in one of the toughest 4* tracks in the world. The team at Ocala Horse Properties is looking forward to their end of April road trip to Kentucky, where they will cheer on Liz and her 4* mount as she battles it out for top prize money and the coveted Rolex watch!

Upon the conclusion of Rolex, Liz and Z will begin their journey back to England for the summer season where they will expand their international experience at events in Europe, with plans to move up to the Advanced level.

We wish Liz, Z, her team and all of her horses the best of luck and the safest of travels this spring and summer. We’re already anticipating their triumphant return to Ocala for the end of the 2017 season!
