Kirby Family Farm’s Christmas Express
- Dec. 20-23, 26-29, 30 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
This event benefits the educational programs and development of Kirby Family Farm, a 501c3 educational facility for at-risk and special needs children. Experience Christmas lights like you’ve never seen before as you take the 20-minute journey around the Kirby Family Farm property on an authentic, narrow-gauge historic locomotive.
The highlight of each evening is a featured train ride through thousands and thousands of Christmas lights pulled by an old-fashioned locomotive, one of only three still in operation in the world! Enjoy more activities and amusement rides, a ride on the farm’s imported Italian carousel, live entertainment, a visit with Ol’ Saint Nick, and great food too! It’s sure to become part of your family’s Christmas tradition!
22nd Annual “Trains at the Holidays”
- Saturday, Dec. 9 – 30 (Closed Dec. 24 – 25)
If you love trains, there is also another option at the Webber Gallery as the Ocala Model Railroaders present “Trains at the Holidays.” Built and operated by local members, the exhibit features modular train layouts inspired by historical local area landmarks, such as the Six-Gun Territory. This is a holiday classic, loved by the young and old alike.
Let’s Skate Ocala! – Ice Skating at Tuscawilla Park
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 5 pm – 9 pm
- Fridays 5 pm – 10 pm
- Saturdays 12 pm – 10 pm
- Sundays 1 pm – 6 pm.
Before heading out for shopping or dinner with your family, swing by Tuscawilla Park for some time on the ice. Nothing ushers in the holiday spirit more than taking part in outdoor winter activities. Make it a family holiday tradition!

Carson Springs Wildlife Tour
- Saturday, Dec. 23 – Scheduled tours at 10 am & 1 pm Dec. 25th – 1 pm
Here’s a different spin on the holidays! Indulge yourself in a great outdoor activity by supporting the Carson Springs Wildlife Foundation. The facility has two-holiday events, touring families through their wild cat safari, featuring 28 endangered species, right here in Ocala! You can even go out on Christmas day for a tour.

Santa on the Square December 21st!
Of course, we can’t forget about Good Ol’ Saint Nick! Santa has been making appearances on the downtown square all throughout the month of December. Tonight is his last appearance, so come on out for some holiday cheer and a visit with the season’s most popular guy.
