OHP Heads to #LRK3DE with Halliday Sharp & Deniro Z!
It’s that time of year, when the Kentucky blue grass is lush and all eventing enthusiasts start they’re annual pilgrimage to the biggest competition of the year at the Land Rover Kentucky 3 Day Event. This year is especially poignant for the team at Ocala Horse Properties, since they will all be in Kentucky rooting for their favorites – Liz Halliday Sharp and the Deniro Z Syndicate’s and Ocala Horse Properties’ Deniro Z!

OHP’s relationship with Liz and her husband Al began when they purchased their farm, Horsepower Equestrian, through Ocala Horse Properties. As they began to follow her success in the sport, the Desino’s came to admire her work ethic and talent as a riding professional. Liz first started competing Niro in 2015 and noting this pair’s aptitude for success, OHP made the decision to step up as owners. Since then Liz and Niro have sky rocketed to the top of the sport, catching the eye of the US team of selectors. This will be their first run at Kentucky, and OHP is hoping for a competitive finish for Liz and Niro!
A Whirlwind Weekend of All Things Equestrian!
Attending the Land Rover Kentucky 3 Day Event (#LRK3DE) is the equivalent of a spiritual journey for all eventing enthusiasts. Formerly knows as “Rolex”, this international event rivals the likes of a Nascar event for equestrian fanatics. Featuring the only 5* competition in this country, it attracts competitors and spectators from all over the world. The venue not only showcases the top international riders in the world, but it is the “Disneyland” of all things equestrian. If you want to plan a destination vacation where you can watch riding demos, shop at hundreds of vendor booths, attend course walks and autograph signings, all while enjoying some local Kentucky bourbon – then attending the Kentucky 3 Day Event should be on your hit-list!

More About The 2019 Land Rover Kentucky 3 Day Event & GP Show Jumping
The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS EQUESTRIAN is the nation’s premier three-day event. Known as “the best weekend all year,” this multi-day competition features the world’s best horses and riders vying for their share of $400,000 in prize money, as well as a shot at the $350,000 Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing which is awarded to any rider who wins the Land Rover Kentucky, Mitsubishi Motors Badminton and Land Rover Burghley Five Star Events in succession. The Land Rover Kentucky is one of only six annual Five Star Three-Day Events in the world and the only Five Star event in the Americas and is the United States’ premier event.
The Dubarry of Ireland Nations Team Challenge will be featured again this year, awarding $20,000 in prize money. The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event will also host a $225,000 CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute on Saturday, April 27 after the completion of the cross-country phase. In addition to the $225,000 Invitational Grand Prix, there will be a $36,000 Welcome Speed Cup/Ranking Class on Friday, April 26, following the completion of the CCI’s dressage competition.
